America's New D-DAY - June 6, 2008 - Disease Day We are not a corporation and we are not a charity. Absolutely no funds will pass through this organization. Every penny donated through our efforts will go directly to the charity of choice each year. We will only promote legitimate, nationally recognized charities that are affiliated with human diseases. Mission Our mission is to stamp out disease in America by inspiring every American to take action. We would like to instill all donors with the same drive, desire and intestinal fortitude that our military proudly exemplified on D-Day, June 6, 1944. With respect to all WWII Veterans - We must recognize not only those that took part in the D-Day invasion, but those too, that fought in other campaigns throughout the world. We cannot forget the manner in which American troops attacked an enemy head on. Without their resolve and the support of all Americans in the 1940s, we would have never prevailed in the Second World War. In honor of all of our WWII military personnel, let us now attack human disease in this country with the same fervor. Our objective - that our new D-Day will become synonymous with a national Disease Day. Selected Annual Charity Each January, our governing board of directors will help select a new charity. We will encourage each and every American, through the powers of the Web, to donate to the newly approved charity during the week preceding the anniversary of D-Day. Our goal will be to launch an all-out assault, in hope of eradicating a different disease through a selected charity, one year at a time. Please mark your calendars now. Then, during the first week of June, 2008 and throughout the entire year - please flood the coffers of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee with your donations. Our charity will change again in January of 2009. If you choose to give, please indicate "New D-Day" on the bottom of your check. We thank you for your support in this worthy cause, and invite you to help spread the word. |
